Achieve More in Your Day
Do you find yourself struggling with one or more of these challenges?
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Wanting to be more productive
- Not having enough time
- Procrastination
- Feeling out of balance
- Not being able to achieve important goals
- Not making enough progress
If you identify with one or more of these challenges you are not alone. These are common ailments afflicting millions of people from all walks of life.
The reason we struggle with these challenges is that time is the great equalizer – we all get the same amount each day. If we fail to utilise the time we have, the loss is all ours. There is no going back, no drawing against tomorrow.
With the fast pace of life today, how we manage our time has never been more crucial.
Our skills in this area can mean the difference between:
- Working excessive hours or maintaining a healthy work/life balance
- Trying to cope with stress overload or living at a healthy pace
- Being continually caught up with the tasks of managing life or being able to take time out for relaxation and enjoyment
Ultimately, it can even mean the difference between success and mediocrity, whether in your career or your life outside of work. Imagine the difference that being able to achieve more – with less stress – could make!
This one day workshop builds upon an Australian developed self assessment instrument exploring seven categories that contribute to effective time management.
Predisposition/temperament.
Predisposition looks at your temperament or your internal drive and pace of living - “How much pressure do you feel, or put on yourself?”
Preparation.
Preparation looks at how well you prepare yourself for any important tasks or personal priorities - “To what extent is planning ahead an integral part of your time?”
Organisational Ability.
Organisational ability looks at how well you maintain a healthy equilibrium in your life - “How effectively do you control your time to achieve a good balance?”
Pressure Management.
Pressure management looks at your ability to keep calm and stay focused when under pressure or in a crises - “When others are in chaos around you, can you remain effective?”
Delegation Skills.
Delegation skills look at whether you assess what you are capable of achieving and obtain assistance from others when necessary - “How well do you spread your tasks or workload so you can manage effectively?”
Interruption Management.
Interruption management looks at how well you stay on track when unexpected events or people interfere with your plans –“How flexibly are you able to respond to unexpected events or interruptions?”
Results Orientation.
Results orientation looks at how well you maintain focus on the results or goals that are important - “How well do you distinguish between what is important and what is merely urgent?”
